Everyone thinks they can’t pull off “effortless.” Your boobs are “too big,” you’re not the “right size,” your clothes are “wrong.” Shut up! First of all, I will not take any slander of yourself on my platform. Second of all, perhaps the main reason you think you can’t be “effortless” is because you think “effortless” only looks like one thing and that’s a skinny blonde model in an oversized white button down and khaki-colored trousers. And, sorry, that’s bullshit. Please read: No offense to all the skinny blonde models in oversized white button downs and khaki-colored trousers that read my Substack.
Every person has a different version of effortless: some people look like they rolled out of bed in a ballgown; others look (and feel) uncomfortable in anything but jeans. That said, I do believe that there are some fairly universal “rules” that everybody should apply to getting dressed, no matter their goals (as long as their goals include “looking really good all the time” and “making Lakyn proud”).
Take care of your clothes (I wrote an e-book about that!).
Always accessorize (I wrote an e-book about that, too!).
Get obsessive about fit (I wrote an article about this one.).
The more complex stuff is below.
